So about a month ago, I saw this guy perform on Conan O’Brien. I was editing photos, then I hear this guy’s voice. Immediately I stop what I’m doing and listen. It was one of those, “I can’t believe what I’m hearing” reactions, but in a good way. His voice was super soulful, and you can hear the passion he puts into the song as he sings. So after an amazing performance, I go on YouTube and search for all the live and studio videos he’s in, and I’m glad I did. Right away I went onto iTunes and bought both his albums.
He performed for free at the Apple Store in Downtown San Francisco and I had to be there because I missed his concert the night before. He sounds amazing live. I would’ve paid to go in the store just to see him. After his performance, we got to meet for a little, and he’s one of the nicest musicians I’ve ever met. Also, since it was basically an impromptu set with his band, they didn’t have a set list. I shouted out Bare Necessities as a song choice, and he went ahead and played it. It was great.
Long post, but anyone who loves good music should check this guy out asap. This guy needs to be out there, instead of a lot of musicians who are getting known for crap music.
